Health, medication, sleep
Certain diseases, the side-effects of certain medications, fatigue and sleep are enemies of healthy and safe driving.

Diabetes, arthritis, neurological deterioration, such as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s, sleep apnea or cerebrovascular accidents, such as ictus, clearly reduce the ability to drive with full safety.

Prevention, including regular checks at the general practitioner’s, is the best way to avoid risk situations for yourself and the rest of the drivers. Should you have been diagnosed with any disease that affects your psychological and physical driving skills, consider asking your doctor and limiting your driving, or looking for alternatives.
